Our Mission
The Overton Clinic works to free patients of pain, using unique assessment protocols and effective manual therapy techniques, so they can thrive at work, home, and play.
Our Story
Eddy and Melinda Lugo, the founders of The Overton Clinic (formerly Brandon Pain Treatment Center), were long time patients of Neurosomatic Therapy (NST) before they decided to become NST specialists themselves. NST has helped their family with learning and developmental delays, migraine headaches, carpal tunnel symptoms, hip pain and back pain. When the opportunity to study NST presented itself they decided to leave there long careers as educators in the Humanities, become therapists and own their own clinic.
It is from these varied backdrops of art, education and being caregivers that The Overton Clinic was formed. It is part of their mission to educate the healthcare community as well as potential and current patients about the possibilities of manual therapy. In doing so they believe that they are providing a much needed service that fulfills a gap in Western Medicine: Treating the body as a whole by eliminating the root cause of pain.

Eddy Lugo amalgamates a diverse and eclectic set of skills developed over an eventful life experience in order to effectively treat the pain symptoms of his patients. He is a husband to an amazing lady and a father to two beautiful young adults. He holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Classical Guitar Performance and has had a long career as a performer and college professor. He has studied Moy Yat Ving Tsun (MYVT) Kung Fu for 20 years and is a Sifu certified to teach MYVT Kung Fu by the MYVT Kung Fu Institute. He earned a full scholarship to study NST at the Center for Neurosomatic Studies (CNS) and has been practicing since 2014. He is very proud to now be the Advanced Technique Instructor at CNS.

Melinda Lugo has a passion for helping others so they can pursue the things that bring them joy. She is a wife and mother of two amazing young adults. Melinda holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Composition and was an English teacher prior to becoming a therapist. In 2017, she received a bronze award from the Massage Therapy Foundation in their student case report competition.
